Start up

Bolton Libraries and Business Bolton are running a free business start up event in conjunction with the Bolton Food and Drink Festival on Tuesday 1st September from 6pm till 7.30pm. The event is the latest in a series of events to showcase ideas for business start-up and provide helpful advice on how to get started.

Nat Mistry has been in business for over 30 years running a chain of newsagents and other shops prior to setting up his new business as a food and drink trader in Ashton market. It was always his dream to set up as an Indian food trader so he decided to apply for a market stall to take advantage of the reduced overheads. Although an experienced business man he had never run a catering business before so it involved a lot of trial and error at to begin with. Now Nat's business is going from strength to strength and has recently placed highly in the Tameside Food and Drink Awards.

Every business has a unique journey, and this networking event will give you the opportunity to hear about the highs and lows of start-ups, ask questions, and get inspired.

A buffet will be provided and places are limited, so if you’re interested book your free place early to avoid disappointment.
