Ever thought of running your own business? Tameside Libraries is hosting a series of free events to showcase ideas of what you can do and provide some helpful advice on how to get started. The series will feature some of the region’s successful entrepreneurs and business gurus.

The first – Starting Up as a Market Trader – takes place at Tameside Central Library, Old Street, Ashton, on Monday 11 August, between 6pm to 8pm.

Nat Mistry, proprietor of Nat’s Bombay Kitchen in Ashton Market Hall, will be providing an insight into his personal experiences of setting up and running a successful and established business. He will also be available for questions, as will Tameside Council markets officers. Nat’s Bombay Kitchen will also be providing refreshments.

Cllr Lynn Travis, Tameside Council’s executive member for libraries, said: “Becoming a market trader is a great way to start your own business, as it’s a fairly low-cost and straightforward industry. There’s never been a better time to set up a market stall and start trading.”
