Ever thought of running your own online business? Tameside Central Library, Old Street, Ashton is hosting a free event “Selling Online”

Maggie Harding, owner of started by working part-time and selling via eBay and other free online resources more than 10 years ago. She has now built a successful business which supplies goods to theatre and film companies, private collectors and individual customers from around the world.

She will be providing an insight into her personal experiences and will also be available for questions and to offer advice.

Maggie’s talk is one of a series of free events hosted by Tameside Council featuring some of the region’s successful entrepreneurs and business gurus.

The series is part of the Start Up Engines project - one of the Enterprising Libraries projects funded by Arts Council England and the Department for Communities and Local Government which is being provided through Greater Manchester libraries.

A Start-up Engines website has been created which gives would-be entrepreneurs access to a wide range of information including how-to guides, strategies, free web tools and apps:
